I currently have a DPMS A-15. I purchased new in 1997. I have put thousands of rounds downrange and would like to change out the upper receiver group. I am thinking about the BCM Standard 20" Govt. Profile Upper Receiver Group. With the BCM BCG and standard charging handle.
Has anyone shot this upper? How do they like it? If not can you suggest other alternatives.
I don't need another carbine. I have an Colt LE 6920 and want a variant to the M16A4. I reload all my ammo. I want chrome lining and 1/7 twist. I want a good rifle length AR and will keep the DPMS lower receiver. I am open to all suggestions. Thank you for your honest replies.

I don't own a 20" BCM but I do own a 16" middy and it is excellent. BCM makes great stuff and stands behind their product. I would not hesitate to buy BCM, in fact I recommend it. Just my .02

I just got a BMC 20" upper the week before Xmass. Got a chance to shoot it yeaterday at a indoor range, they only have a 25 yards. I wanted to do a bsz and co-witness the eotec.
All I had for ammo was some fed xm193 and got very nice tght groups.
I hope to get to a 100 yard range in the next month to see what it wil do.
The fit and finish were great.

I have been wantng one for a while and found this one on TOS at a great price.
I have been looking for either a Colt or a BMC and I think for the $$$ BMC is the best value around.

I bought one of the early ones back in the fall, and I really love it. I'm no pro shooter, but between my Noveske 14.5" carbine and the 20" BCM, I enjoy shooting the 20" rifle more.
