Pics to come.......
I just built up an upper using an old Colt M4 upper, and a new Noveske 10.5" SS barrel.
I had John prepare the barrel with a pin and setscrewed lo-pro gas block.
Using a LaRue 9.0 I have achieved the exact look I wanted, with a longer sight radius for the Troy backups.
Anyway, the one problem I have is that the gas block is not centered in the handguard when you look down the muzzle into the handguard.
Handguard was tightened to spec, though the # escapes me while I type this.
Should I disassemble it and check something? If so, what?
I am thinking that maybe the threads on the upper may be shorter on one side, maybe by just a fraction.
Or maybe the gas block is out of whack.
Or should I just shoot it and see if I have a problem?
