View Full Version : Let's see your wallpaper/desktop/background!
I'm in need of a new wallpaper picture and figured what better place to look than here for some cool firearm related stuff. After some searching I came up empty for a wallpaper thread so I figured I would start one. I'm sure you guys have some cool personal pictures you're using so let's see what everyone is running.

Not necessarily "Gun" related but an awesome picture nonetheless.

Indeed.
Doesn't necessarily have to be 'gun related' either and this one is military so that's of interest as well.

LOL, should have specified, those are only my wall papers :D
The closest car I drove to those GT race cars would be a Porsche 993 turbo, and that car was an animal ;)
There are probably only about 10 of those Honda HSV010 JGTC cars on the planet, and sadly only tiny Japanese test drivers have tasted the thrill of that beast.
...got this right after 9/11 and it stuck.

My computer rests where anyone in the household sees it, but even without that motivation I usually prefer the more tranquil desktops.
Pixdaus (http://pixdaus.com/) is where I find most of them. Currently Windows7 is cycling through just over 90 of them.
For those who are using Vista, you can have desktop backgrounds that change like the Win7 ones do by visiting John's Background Switcher (http://www.johnsadventures.com/software/backgroundswitcher/)

bigx, I use a computer at work with three monitors. any help on having a different pic on each would be awesome. I was going to just make one pic that had all three sections the right size, but given that all three monitors are different sizes that seemed kind of involved.
Rob.....Google Display Fusion

Rob, what kind of computer do you have? On a Mac it's pretty simple, just chose a pic for each monitor and you are done!
Now on a PC, I won't be much help. I did ask the PC guy here at work and he also mentioned DisplayFusion. Might wanna give that a try.
Thanks guys. Emailed IT about display fusion. Will try that at home as well.

aargh! my photo-fu is still weak
Thanks guys. Emailed IT about display fusion. Will try that at home as well.
The free version [Display Fusion] will allow you to stretch a pic across multiple monitors (so it all flows together), or use a different pic of each monitor, and there is a pay for version that will allow much much more
Also download Multi-Mon Taskbar, that will give you a taskbar across you other monitors as well very handy. Whatever window or program will show up on that monitors task bar instead of cramming them all on the number 1 monitor's taskbar.
