I was asked awhile back to start a thread with some of the ITT products that are now available. So here it is!

 Grant,
I have an IWAL-2, but I would love to have one of these. Is it possible for a civilian to get a factory IR laser?

I know that ITT can't sell it to a civilian directly, but there are no laws I know of governing the actual ownership of an IR laser. Is there some loophole that would allow a civilian can get one of these?

It is not illegal for a Civy to own an IR laser. It is however illegal for ITT to send one to a Civy.

That's what I thought. I guess I didn't word my question very well. What I was wondering is:

Can a dealer sell a civilian a laser?
Can an LEO sell a civilian a laser?

I know that it isn't legal for any manufacturer to sell them, but is there a way THAT IS LEGAL for a civilian to buy one of these?

If only the manufacturer is prohibited from selling them, why couldn't any of the dealers sell them to us?

Dealers are not even allowed to stock IR lasers even though they sell them! Figure that one out.

A LEO or PD can sell an IR laser to the public. This used to be a normal occurence, but not so sure it happens any more.

Grant,

Were you ever able to find out if they are selling their SU-233 (FDE M3X) to civilians?

Ok, I heard back from them. They advised me that model is just for the Military (right now).
