on gen 1 redi-mags, you press the OEM mag release and both the redi-mag 30round magazine and the 30round magazine in the rifle drop free at the same time.

on the gen 2 and BFG, you have independent preference on when you want each magazine to drop.

These claim to bolth be Gen 1s, but in not familiar with the Vickers model or the
bolt catch extension. Dont know if a Magpul B.A.D. lever would interfere with them???

You might check Brownells. They sell the Redimag for about $75. Not sure of the model though. Used Gen1 Redimags sell for $50 new or in excellent condition on TOS.

One of the guys in the Magpul AOTT Videos has both a Redi-Mag and BAD on his carbine and seems to do just fine.

In fact, seeing how much the Redi-Mag can restrict access to the Bolt Catch/Release, I'd consider a BAD essential if you were gonna run a Redi-Mag, but that's me.
