View Full Version : Higher mount for Millett Zoom Dot?

I just received a Millett Zoom Dot and am very impressed with it so far. The only problem is that the included mount sits way too low to co-witness with my fixed front sight and Midwest Industries flip-up rear sight.

Can anyone recommend a better option for a co-witness using this mount? I searched the threads here and saw ADM and LaRue mounts, but am just wondering what has worked for you guys that also own a Millett ZD. Specific model types would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Pat

LaRue is the answer. If you plan on running a magnifier or NOD get the LT-129. If not go with the LT-150. Class dismissed. ;)

I'm using the Burris XTR 1" and have a 1/3rd co witness. The Millett Zoom Dot works great, I'm very impressed. I would like to eventually add a quick release mount some day.

Thanks guys. The on that Millett designates as the mount for this unit is way too low, and I'm surprised that it can be of use to anyone with an AR. I now have a La Rue 150 on order and am looking forward to pairing it up with the ZD.

Any 30mm mount (anything designed for an Aimpoint) will work.

LaRue is a good mount. Here is my zoom dot in a similar setup as the 150 you are getting. David

Zoom dot factory mount is only good for something like this or maybe a shotgun.
