HELP, I didn't realize that choosing a weapon light could be this complicated. First, from what I've heard, I could just go with one of the newer C4 versions of the Streamlight TLR-1, and probably be totally satisfied. ( 135 Lumens, LED ) BUT, is the newer TLR-1 that much better than the older 80 Lumen version ? ALSO, The Insight M3X is favored by a great many too. Would I be better off with a C4 / TLR-1, or an Insight M3X ?? NOW, to get even more confusing, How does the new Insight WX 150 ( 150 Lumens ) compare with either the M3X or TLR-1(C4) ??? ANY opinions, comments and or reviews of ANY of the above models will be very much appreciated. THANKS, & MORE THANKS

I have had an M3X for about the last 5 years. It's been a great light on my Glock's and carbine, it currently sits at 12 o'clock, just in front of the DD front sight.

Having owned and used it extensively for many things, I'm going with a Surefire X300 for my next light. There's been nothing wrong with the M3X, it's just the Surefire is that much better.

I just got a couple C4 TLR-1s from eBay. One was less than $70!

I found the C4 upgrade to the TLR-1 a significant improvement over both the original TLR-1 and the M3X. I've played with the H150 at TREXPO, but don't have any real experience with it.
