I searched and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, but I'm looking for a decent, cheap holster for IDPA. I don't compete regularly, just when I've got the time, so I don't need a super fast competition holster.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a holster for the M&P? And preferable something without a 3-4 week wait. I may be asking too much there.

Blade Tech has a injection molded line. I have been using one for that purpose [IDPA, USPSA] for a few years with my 92F. I don't know if they make one for the M&P.

Yeah, the Blade Tech one isn't that bad for the price. It isn't kydex but it is inexpensive. I have one for my M&P.

I got this holster about a year ago and it has been a decent range holster. David

The above holster (made by Blade Tech) is $51 plus shipping.

The injection molded Blade Tech holster for the M&P is $30 and is about the lowest that I would go with. I have one of these that I use for classes and IDPA matches, it works just fine. There is no long wait for these, you should be able to get one ordered and delivered between 1 - 2 weeks.

Ravens are nice, but I don't think it fits his requirement of cheap/affordable/no wait. Ravens are $70 and last I ordered anything from them it was 45 days.

Mine took 19 days from the day I ordered it so I would say their wait times are coming down.

I use a Blade Tech holster.

I prefer the Bobby-McGee-Pro-Series PAK. Holster is well made and it comes with a double mag pouch and a optional paddle. It's $85.37.

I just picked up one of these for my G17. Note that the belt slide Uncle Mikes are not legal for IDPA but the paddle holsters are. I ordered a paddle and it came with parts for both paddle and belt slide.

For $17, if you don't like it, get out the dremel and customize it.

This is the only Uncle Mikes product that I have found to be worth a crap.

Desantis Speed Scabbard.

$60 bucks or so at any Desantis retailer (there are two with 10 miles in my area). They are made for a wide variety of common pistols. They require little to no break-in. And they are lightning fast on the draw once they are.

ETA: even if no one around you sells them, Desantis will almost certainly have one in stock.

If you're looking for an inexpensive "bucket", I like the Safariland 568. It's available from lots of sources online in the $40 range.

For IDPA competition, I use and recommend the Comp-Tac Belt Slide.
