I ordered a 10.5" SS Noveske upper during their "free blemished lower" special earlier this year and got my stamp back in record time... 10 weeks from sent to received. Anyways, I had it engraved but I still need to get it refinished. Anyone know if you can just spot finish it or do you have to get the whole damn thing redone?

Either way, this ought to be one fun little addition to the safe.

What exactly are you getting refinished? Looks fine to me.

missed the question, i was so shocked by the 10-week turnaround. you don't need to do anything.. aluminum turns into aluminum oxide when exposed to air for a few days- it's already re-anodized itself by now. but alumablack will cover it up if you're ashamed.

Thanks for the answer on the anodizing. I've been reading up on the process, and it looks like they just do it faster when they do it the first time. I appreciate the responses.

Took it out shooting, but it's cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey today and I was losing the sun, so I just shot up a pop can. Put 150 rounds thru it with no problem before my balls almost froze off. Gonna skooch that AFG forward just a bit more and see if I can get back to position 4 on the stock. Had to back it out to 5 to roll the wrist over even with squaring my stance up.

Ran fine with everything I fed it from Federal XM193 to Remington .223 to some of the Centurion stuff I got from Sportsman's guide. I think I'm gonna like this rifle. I'll still be taking the 16" rifle with me to the Magpul class just in case.
