Got this for a Birthday gift from my dad.My First Heckler&Koch It fits My hand well (have gone through Glock 30,XD45) I find it real easy to use My trigger finger to drop the mag.

Mags fall free,I am very pleased with the quality of this weapon and being able to carry cocked and Locked it a cool Option .I can carry it well in my waist band But need to find a good Holster for it.

It's a great American thing when fathers gift their sons a great firearm. My dad gave me my first 1911 when I got back from OIF I in June of '03. Enjoy your USP45C! I'm a huge fan of the mag release as well.

It is a great thing to have a dad get me what I enjoy.when I was 19 and got My CCW (had 3 Police officers sign for me only reason I was able to get one so young)he always asked why do you need to carry a gun? Now 22 yrs Later ,he doesn't like me to Be with out one:D.

This weapon it built like a tank, The mag release Blows my mind I really like it.he bought me a Sig p230 last year.I told him after this one I not sure if there will be another one I want ;)(yeah right) extra Mags are pricey But as I have read here from a lot of people "What is your Life worth" can any of you HK experts lead me in the way of a good Holster and also what is up with finding a Light that will fit .I have searched and really have not come up with anything

I have an HK45C, and it comes with a pic rail. The USP pistols come with H&K's proprietary rail, which may (if I'm correct) require an adapter to mount lights, other than the H&K lights. Here is a link to an adapter:
GG&G USP Rail Adapter (http://www.botachtactical.com/ggm3adforhku.html)

I believe that adapter will allow you to mount any size light on your USPC. My HK45C has a short rail as well, and can only mount the Insight X2 or the Streamlight TLR-3. Larger lights fit with some modification, but they extend way past the muzzle. I'm hoping to hear reports from the SHOT show that Surefire will have a compact pistol light coming out...

That is a fantastic .45. They really don't get any more accurate, robust and trustworthy.

I'd take a hard look at the Raven Concealment Phantom kydex holster. Extremely high quality, comfortable, and exceedingly adaptable.

Had a TS guy say he thought very highly of the HK USP Compact; specifically, much more than the HK USP Tactical .45.

Happy Birthday and enjoy!

My dad gave me a Sig P220 and P226 two-tone when I turned 19. He doesn't like guns and probably never will. But he knew thats what I wanted.

Cheers!

Regarding a holster (or two), check your PMs. :)

Also, as far as cocked and locked, if it's a Variant 1 (Safe-Fire-Decock), too much pressure going from "Safe" to "Fire" will decock it. I remember some people suggested getting the ambi safety to prevent this from happening. It retains the ability to safely decock without a hammer spur if you want to but bumps against your hand if you have a firing grip.

I loved my 45 USPc! It was my primary carry weapon for a couple of years. I had to sell because i couldn't carry it on duty and needed a back up (or two). But it was definitely one of my favorite weapons to carry and shoot. Enjoy it

It looks like a pretty slick piece. Let us know how it shoots in comparison to others when you've got the chance.

Great gun for CCW carry. Mine gets carried in a Milt Sparks SS II.

You will be hard pressed to find a naysayer for the USP. It is definately a warhorse.

I located holsters through Raven Concealment which is what I recommend since you will most likely be running an SF or GG&G rail adapter for your weapon light... If no adapter then I always go for the level 2 Serpa.
You are right, they do fit IWB without a holster nicely. I would love to just run an ambi belt clip, pistol leash and be done.

Very good point. Do you have an angle on the ambi selector?
I have been experimenting with keeping it half cocked and using that full press as a safety. I also tried just keeping it uncocked and unlocked and incorporating cocking the hammer with unsnapping my holster.
It gets testy trying to drop the safety left handed because I either have use my left index finger or roll my left thumb over(similar to an AR without an ambi selector)... I get about 4 hours of constant "use" a day so I am working shyt out.
