Pink Floyd "The Wall"
Rush "2112"
Dream Theater "Train of Thought"
Iced Earth "The Glorius Burden"
Iron Maiden "Powerslave'
Grateful Dead "Europe '72"

Foo Fighters "The Colour and the Shape"

Tool "10,000 Days"

Absent from this list are Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, SRV, Clapton, and many other guitar gods. Also, the albums listed represent my current favorite of the artists body of work, and were tough calls. I also forgot some southern rock and other metal, there is just too much to weed through.

Dude. Nice. Love old solid state stuf... I have tons of it. As for poor old lou, ever hear their album "sin"? So good. Glad to see someone gettin' in to the old school christian hardcore. Everdown's "straining" is a phenomonal album. I lost my copy years ago. Brandon ebel/tooth and nail/ss/bec used to have it going on... I feel they have really gone to pot... The stuff put out now is garbage.

DJ Shadow is revolutionary. His "six days remix" is one of the best tracks I've heard. Also, portishead is amazing. "Wandering star" is my favorite track of theirs.

Led Zeppelin III
Sir Mixalot - Swass

TRAFFIC Low Spark High Healed Boys.
HUMBLE PIE Rockin the Filmore.
THE BAND Last Waltz.
MARSHALL TUCKER Anything by them.
SPENSER DAVIS BAND
BB KING.
JOHN COLTRANE.
VIVALDI
THELONUS MONK.
OTIS REDDING.
BLACK CROWS.
BECK.

The list goes on and on. As I get older I have found that I gain great pleasure out of classic jazz and classical, also really enjoy the Blues. I would really like to see some of the older guys before they pass. #1 on my list to return to see would be BB KING.

As a young man I spent a great deal of time in the Bay area at concerts. Place's like Winterland, Kiser Stadium, Day On The Greens " Oakland" Free Born Hall, Stockton riots, perhaps the most intersting was Filmore West.

whoa.. that is going back. I recall getting that tape from my older brother along with ill communication one Christmas. Nothing says the holidays like a yellow sony walkman clad 8 year old singing "hip hop soldier.." - oddly, that was the first time i had heard of a sterling machine gun. "Sterling mk 6, its funny but it hits, it looks sideways but the sucka will kick... " or something like that. lol

"One day I kissed my freak, hit the street
Looking for something to eat
In a 18-wheeler, lookin' real swass
All the girls smile 'cause I'm the big boss
Said I gotta eat now, can't eat later
Made a lot of noise to attract my waiter
The boy walked up, and what did he say?
"Say, buttermilk biscuits free today!"
So what you waitin' on boy, get up shake a leg
Gimme 10 of them suckers with grits and eggs
A glass of Koolaid and a whole stick of butter
Them biscuits make me a superfast cutter (huh huh)":p

Or my favorite "Met Clint Eastwood, slapped his mama"

Ah, still working on my list. To hard to narrow it to 15

Phish - any of the 200 or so live shows I have on disc or the computer. What can I say they're my boys.
Allman Bros. - Live at the Fillmore
Derek Trucks - Soul Serenade (although Already Free is also really good)
Beastie Boys - The In Sound from Way Out
String Cheese Incident - Round the Wheel
Galactic - Coolin Off
Gov't Mule - The Deepest End
Outkast - Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik
Pink Floyd - Meddle, Animals, Dark Side???
Merl Haggard - Sing Me Back Home
Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine
Grateful Dead - maybe American Beauty or Blues for Allah
Moe. - Tin Cans and Car Tires
Zero - Nothin Lasts Forever (Really dig on all the incarnations of bands with Steve Kimock -- SKB, KVHW, etc.)
John Scofield - A Go Go
MMW - Combustication
Al Di Meola - Anthology
Johnny Cash - At Folsom Prison

Ok I got it to 18ish :) That's tough to do, as you can see my musical tastes are all over the map

I'm big on Industrial as I used to be a rivet head DJ in a former life, LOL. To me Skinny Puppy is classic industrial. Some may say acts like Throbing Gristle and Bauhaus started the whole thing, but I think Skinny Puppy was the first to make it music. For that matter Nine Inch Nails was the first to make it into truely great music. For "classic" Industrial check out older Ministry, Front Line Assembly, Front 242, Wumpscut, Nitzer Ebb, Covenant, and VNV Nation.

For newer "floor stomping" industrial (also called aggrotech) check out Combichrist especially their album "Everybody Hates You", Aslan Faction, God Module, Psyclon Nine, Unter Null and Feindflug.

Wow haven't heard that name in a while. Until I just looked I didn't even know they had any albums other than One Fierce Beer Coaster. To answer your question, I guess I'd say they're addictive in much the same way as you might really crave some chocolate but then you accidentally eat too much, puke, and then don't want to see it again for 5 years ;)
