View Full Version : Remington ACR...upper?
http://www.aacblog.com/wp-content/uploads/rgp.jpg
According to the AAC Blog (www.aacblog.com) it's a drop in monolithic upper for the AR that uses the ACR piston system...
...so you can't get a Remington ACR, but you can get...this?

That is pretty f*cking cool. I wonder if it uses a similar bolt/carrier design as the ACR or if it's more like an AR15.
Another cool potential is that I may be able to work with a RDIAS.

If it is a new bolt design instead of a piston driven AR bolt, that could be very promising....
Anybody have any information about this?

Agreed, another piston AR upper is hardly news, a truly different lockwork is big news.
It does LOOK cool.

This is strictly my speculation, but I'm guessing that it is similar to a regular AR bolt because you can see the area in the upper for the cam pin to rotate.
I see a Remington upper loaded with Daniel Defense accessories; interesting, were is the Magpul love?

Your observation makes me think that it is just another piston AR. Still, I guess it is possible that the bolt lugs could be redesigned......
