CD/DVD Repair

Any good ways to repair CDs and DVDs that have been scratched? I tried one of those disc repair machines from Best Buy, but it did not work. I thought about trying one of those headlight lens polishing kits. Any ideas?

Ive used chapstick with decent results, just wipe some on and polish lightly to fill in the scratches with the chapstick.

This is what we used to use in our lab to recover evidence from "damaged" discs.
