I have had a NORINCO MAK 90, with a milled reciever, now for about 10 or 11yrs. I haven't shoot it too much. The only thing I have done to it was to change the cheapo wood thumbhole stock to a Choate Dragunov stock.

My question is how does it compare to the ROMARK and other AKM type rifles on the market today?

weird as it may sound.....the Chinese is better quality than the Romanian in my opinion. Shot a ton of both and the Chinese aren't bad shooters. Seen some real shotty Romanians though. Hope this helps.

I have a Mak90 in 5.56. It is the cats meow. I wouldn't take anything for it. Luckily mine came with 15 mags. :D

I have never handled a milled Chinese rifle. I prefer stamped personally. I am probably one of the few glad to see Arsenal go stamped for a bit.
