Holy smokes! He just called the Luger "pure evil"!. That one gun store had a fortune in old weapons.

If it weren't for the terrorists who would want to kill me, I would love to go there.

Cool video. And their prices do not seem to be affected by the panic buying we have here.

Here's the problem with this. CNN is promoting VICE as real journalism. VBS is cool and all, but in the end its just a couple of retards with a camera going interesting places and telling you their opinion. Sounds like the rest of CNN, right?
Well it's an even further slide down the yellow journalism slope. I don't like it. I don't having ignorant opinions inserted into news. I just watched some VBS clip yesterday where they were saying that the US can't win in Afghanistan and all we're trying to do now is find a Vietnam-esque "peace with honor" solution and he kept trying to get the Marines to say this isn't the war on terror anymore. Which they wouldn't. That was the one redeeming part of his little "news piece". That the morale of the Marines was too good to go along with his bullshit agenda.

You bring up a good point about them not being real journalists. I guess that was lost on me, because I am so used to the garbage that the MSM puts out there.

It is kind of like Diane Sawyer and her "If I Only Had a Gun" show. It wasn't news worthy or a piece of journalism. And it certainly wasn't unbiased. If she wanted to show it realistically, she would have had subjects in the class room who were familiar with their guns and who had some sort of training.

But, you are right. This is not a pulitzer piece of journalism. But it is an entertaining video. Although, I gasped when the body guard/tour guide was pointing the muzzle of his loaded rifle at the camerman, while riding in the van, and said it was ok because the gun was "locked"!

I was expecting Josh Ryan from "Lock'n Load" to jump out and start pimping some guns.

Just watched it and thought it was cool. Old world gun smithing. Wonder what some of those old coots would be turning out if you dumped them in a modern custom shop over here? Teach that old guy with no tongue how to work a CNC machine! Another guy was making some sweet wood grips I woudn't mind having.

I'm wondering what happened to his tongue.

On another note, you are right it was cool seeing the old time gunsmithing going on. I could tell if they were just puting different gun parts together. Or if they were actually making them from scratch.

Those people have been making their guns from hand for at least a couple centuries. Its pretty amazing. And yes, there were some great looking AK's in there.

Didn't the whole world see this back in 2007 or so? I know I saw this video before it was posted on CNN today.

Bravo CNN for posting "news" that was as dated as it was slanted and irrelevant.

Vice magazine and Vice TV can be summed up with one word: Irreverent.

Personally, I love Vice magazine and TV. They are hilarious forms of media and "journalism" (reference the article on penis shaped hallucegenic mushrooms, or when Vice TV finds the japanese producer of the worst porns in history) and are extremely entertaining.

The fact there video is being promoted on CNN, and as such, implied as real journalism shows just how low CNN has slid.

Vice TV's shenanigans in North Korea and Liberia are also worth noting.
