I miss the old pre-address Clinton days, actually. Those were hilarious shows.

Did anyone catch Rush today? Was he in rare form?

I caught most of the show today being on the road. He was pretty normal. Had a great call from the lady who used to work for the Reagan Admin. I forget her name, but she called a month or two ago as well. She talked about going to an event where BHO was at and sat at a table with the hair dresser of one of Michelle's 22 personal assistants. It was some PBS musical for a Hispanic Heritage musical taping.

There were the typical Hollweird celebs there...she in a nut shell spoke to this hair dresser owner who was a male and asked him questions about being a very small business owner and tried to get him to use his brain in understanding that what he believes is pretty bad economics etc. Then Rush and the caller mocked BHO's spending freeze and half assed tax credits (that have been extended through 2010) they are giving for businesses to buy equipment etc.

yet if it had been a republican who had suggested these ideas Rush and the rest of the partisan hacks here and elsewhere would be shouting from the rooftops how great it is.

I'm not screaming any partisan gospel here so I hope your negative remarks aren't geared towards myself. I merely gave what I heard on the radio. For one your slight on the Reagan administration doesn't hold much water for if you look at the overall results during his time in office and the 10-15 years after shows he did quite well. Now I do agree that he did have some bonehead moves, but it was pretty sound given the situation.

I've paid pretty close attention to your remarks the past few months and sometimes I wish you'd be banned from this place. You seem to look for trouble all the time and I've yet to see many positive remarks made. Since most of us here are "politcal hacks" as you describe us maybe you should just hang up your spurs and go look elsewhere to troll.

I follow the rules, I have done nothing to deserve a banning. I'm not looking for trouble at all. I just happen to have a viewpoint that is different from the herd around here and apparently thats just too much for some to handle.

Then maybe more civilized rebuttles would solve this problem. Your different viewpoint is fine, but your recent pissing contests are not appreciated. Don't worry you're not the only one I've seen do this so I'm not singling you out. With regards to looking for trouble; your wording to my response from the eyes of many could be construed as possilby looking for that trouble. Good day.

Ahhh but you are. And you are not alone in this. My replies are quite civilized until i start getting personally attacked and belittled. Then the civility goes buh bye.

We're a herd, but you are civil? I see. Do you not speak to adults often, then?

No sir. I've said my piece for others publicly or via PM several times so your argument is not valid on that point.

Your replies may start off somewhat civilized in your mind, but just take a look at your slight in your repsonse to me. I simply stated the facts of what I heard going on during a radio broadcast and you then start attacking my statements in usual form. This may be tongue in cheek etc, but the long history of this type of response from you seems to be constant. Thus why I have waited to make a statement on this. I gave you a fair shot in my own personal book for several months.

Maybe it wouldn't come off as so arrogant if you didn't quote my remarks or clearly prefaced your intentions with the following statements, but you did not do so and from the sidelines it looks pretty childish. Coming to a forum like this will always have it's bumps in the road yes, but you have to understand that the majority of the folks here have pretty conservative values. By posting the things you do you're just asking for trouble and then wonder why your repsonses bring about criticism like it's not partly your fault. My biggest complaint with what you post is that it's mostly hearsay from most of the links you reference. Looking at the backgroud where that information comes from and their viewpoint now and in the past makes one question the validity of your citation you claim to be true.

Again maybe if your viewpoint is so much different then perhaps another forum suites your needs more efficently. I assume it's somewhat of a game for you to come here and perform your act and that your motivation may or may not be to get a rise out of some here. To me it's just wasted energy that could be put to a more positive use. Just my opinion. I know yours will differ, but maybe a different approach will get you point across in a less controversial manner.

Being in a perpetual state of condescension towards everybody else on the site is not itself a bannable offense...but it does generally annoy everybody to no end and it's generally a short trip from being annoying to being gone.

Political disagreements are inevitable, but we can have them without being boorish about it.

i'm not going to ask you to prove it, but I'll believe it when i see it.

i didn't attack your statements at all. first of all, i was in disagreement with the Reagan admin official that you spoke about, not you. and the second statement, although I quoted you, was a general observation and not directed towards you personally. I'm sorry you took it that way.

the majority of the folks here have pretty conservative values. By posting the things you do you're just asking for trouble and then wonder why your repsonses bring about criticism like it's not partly your fault.

I'm all for criticism of my responses and some healthy back and forth debate. I know I'm asking for a good dose of disagreement which we as adults should be able to handle. What I take issue with is the need to attack me personally. I can have a heated discussion without resorting to name calling and the like.

My biggest complaint with what you post is that it's mostly hearsay from most of the links you reference. Looking at the backgroud where that information comes from and their viewpoint now and in the past makes one question the validity of your citation you claim to be true. .

Example? I think I'm pretty good with backing up my information with valid sources.

Point taken. Honestly I don't come here for political debate or for the general discussion forum in general. I come here to read the AR discussions and learn what I can about the platform. The general discussion forum is a sideshow that I visit from time to time when bored at work.

Rush is an entertainer. Rush's audience is right of center. America as a whole is dumb. It is far easier for Rush to merely point to centrist right party and expound on their merits while demonstrating that the centrist left party has become infected with socialists.

Sadly. very few Americans read much about some of the topics discussed by Rush, Beck, or others. If they do they are likely to read an esoteric piece about it in a conventional media outlet that favors their own slant on the world. Very few dissect the topic in to component pieces and then read scholarly articles about the subject, balance that against independently sourced data, news sources that run contrary to their own beliefs and come to their own independent conclusion.

Rush is not a news source. He spews a lot of sh*t out of his ass in the form of straw man and slippery slope arguments in order to set up his own premise. However, the general gist of what he is saying is correct. However, that doesn't mean that Rush (or any one else) is real happy with the R's now days. Yet, considering that 3rd parties are a joke, if one truly seeks change - you need to partner up with the group that you feel you can work with the best. For most of us that isn't the D's.

Good luck

yea i've noticed the XD hate flying around.

it was my first gun and it has served me pretty well. i have thousands and thousands of rounds through it with only one or two malfunctions. pretty accurate as well. that being said, the HK is my carry piece for several reasons.
