I am planning on a BCM midlength upper in the near future (finally got around to pulling the trigger and Grant was out of them, haha-i knew i shouldnt have waited).

I have been wanting a Troy 12" rail for it, but the place i am ordering from doesnt carry the exact model I want/need-Id prefer to order thru my place as I get a substantial discount over retail. Anyway, they do have the 10" which I like but ive seen where the lp gas block would stick out slightly from the end of the rail.

How bad of an idea is this?? I suppose i could order the 'proper' 12" rail from Troy directly or somewhere else, but Id rather buy at my discount and use the extra $ for ammo :)

What do you think?

i don't like seeing gas tubes being exposed. Murphy follows me around with a big f*cking hammer. ;) but a partially exposed gas block doesn't bother me one bit

an exposed pinned low pro gas block has not proven to be a problem for me.

as long as it is pinned it shouldnt be a problem
