My patrol rifle, a 6920, came with trijicon night sights installed. I'm going to be putting an Eotech on this carbine, and I'm wondering if I can take the trijicon night sights off, and put the rear sight portion on a troy fold down sight. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

bump..
come on guys somebody here has to know
The Troy rears use a unique rear aperture set, with the two sizes being ~120 degrees apart, so it lays flatter. The standard rear being a 90 degree angle, it's not going to work right.
Troy does have a tritium folding rear, if you decide you want to keep the tritium option.

Thanks guys. I will leave it without. I already had to purchase the night sights that went on the removable carry handle sights. Don't want to pay twice to have it. I work the day shift anyway, and I will rely on my optic not to fail me in a low light situation. We do have flash lights too though. I will still have the night sight on the front sight

I am not an expert in low-light fighting, but in my experience, rear night sights are BS. They are right there in front of your eye, shining and don't let you see the front sight properly. Optics are so much better, though I suppose police depts. are the last bastion of silly patrol rifle configuration rules that make life hard on everyone there so they can keep Patrolman Smith from putting a crummy Chinese optic on his issued carbine.
I'm a fan of the big tritium front sight, but rear tritium sights on optics an inch from the eye are really less than helpful.
What I really want is a CASV aperture for the Troy BUIS.
