Thanks, checked their site will have to call to see if there is another option. that one is a 14.5 with permanent fh attached...Want a 16 inch threaded end.

Yeah, I'm looking for the same thing but I'm not interested in the CMMG 1/12 twist in the full 16" midlength lightweight model. CMMG is saying they are working on a 1/7 twist model right now, release date uncertain.

Theres gonna be a LOT of shooters interested in those.

I have a RRA stainless steel 16" Wilson air gauged with a .223 wylde chamber. Kurt Kustom turned the barrel to .625 behind the front sight base & .570 in front of the sight base. Very light and very accurate

And that's a good point...

Add the weight of a LaRue gas block....

For what's out there these days...I'd opt for a middie Sabre Defence and just keep
the govt profile...save a little weight on the forend...and shift a little weight aft
for balance...
