Anyone have any experience with this particular round? I've seen the .223 reviews, but not the 5.56.

After the LE discount and coupon code I got it for 334/k shipped, so either way I'm happy with the price.

Looks interesting. For that price, I'm going to order a case. :)

i always order the .223 from fiocci, as well as 9mm. not quite helpful here, but thanks for the heads up, im picking a case up as well.
ps - dsg sent me a very needed toboggan in order last week. thumbs up company!

I ended up picking up two cases, should last a couple months hopefully. I've ordered quite a bit from DSG and they are most certainly a stand up company.

Interesting that the ammo has the NATO markings on the headstamp. I'm tempted to buy a case.

Has anyone received and tried this ammo?

To the OP - do you have a coupon code handy? I'd like to order some as well.

I used 'AR1510off ' and recieved ten dollars off.
It is going in the right direction, someone may have a better one.

Thanks slustan, for the heads up on the deal.

Please let us know how it is; function, accuracy, relative cleanliness, as I would like to order some, but only if its as good as more common stuff(PRVI, PMC, Federal, WW). If its better, thats a bonus.

Thanks,
Mark

OK, I know this may be a dumb question, but is there a big difference in .223 and 5.56 rounds?

5.56 rounds have a higher pressure. 223 can be shot in a 5.56 chamber....not so much the other way around.

Whats the status on the quality of this stuff? I just got my upper ordered and need to start pickin up some ammo.

The specs that they are loaded to. As has been mentioned, the 5.56 is loaded to a higher pressure and should only be shot in chambers that are known to be made for 5.56 (not just saying it on the barrel as some manufacturers stamp it on the barrel but do not have a real 5.56 chamber). .223 can be shot in both sorts of chambers.

I have shot a lot of Fiocchi over the years and it always proves to be inexpensive and very good ammo. Looking forward to hearing how this stuff is.
