I need suggestions for holsters for my Glock 17.

I'm looking for a thigh-rig holster and a OWB holster. Holster needs to be left-handed and I'd like to get one that supports a TRL-2. Price isn't a concern I'm looking for functionality and quality.

Blade Tech makes both for a Glock 17 and a TLR-2, and Safariland makes SLS thigh rig's and duty holsters for gun's with light's but I don't know if they make them for TLR-2's. If Safariland does, I highly recommend trying a SLS holster one before buying if you haven't used a SLS holster before.

SOE Gear's Tactical Thigh Rig is awesome - wore it everyday in Iraq with my M9, and it's still a very serviceable piece of gear.

BDS Tatical has an identical version available (appearance, anyway). Price is around $70. Wore it in combination with SOE Gear's Rigger Belt (which has a plastic reinforcement to keep the belt from rolling over).

What exactly is the SLS?

What exactly is the SLS?

It's the rotating hood on the Safariland holsters. Instead of popping open a snap on a thumb break, you press down and forward and the loop over the back of the slide rotates out of the way. I've always hated regular thumb breaks (though I don't know that I've ever used a truely good quality one) and I really like the SLS system.

I'll second the 6004 suggestion, and they do make one that fits with a TLR-2. I believe it's the model that fits the M3/M6/TLR1/TLR2, the part number is 6004-8321.

I recently purchased a Blackhawk SERPA holster for my Glock 19. That thing is awesome!

I've used one for 2 years and have nothing good to say about it. I've almost lost my gun in a fight because of it, and constantly find it's been rotated open in normal carry. I also find it extremely slow to draw from. That being said, my problems have been caused more because of some prior injuries(breaking and/or dislocating your thumbs repeatedly sucks) combined with the less than well thought out placement and design of the hood rather than the concept itself.

Here's my modded 6005 for my 17. I like it a lot but just wish I had a better way of attaching it to my belt. I've tried the Emdom hanger...both regular and flipped upside down, low, high, etc. I think I'm just gonna buy a molle attachment for the holster and strap it to my belt or chest rig.
