That is all well and good (I contribute to them, too). But if you really want to get involved, get involved with Maryland Shall-Issue. If you're not familiar with it, it is a grass-roots organization in MD that fights these bills every year. You can find them here: http://www.marylandshallissue.org/

He was also perfectly happy to let both the concealed campus carry bill and the bill protecting chl holders from being fired by their employers if they keep their gun in their car on employer property to die in session with a vote.

Well at least Texas isn't trying to ban decent people from owning firearms like MD is. This has got to be one of the worst states in the Union. I really wish I could find a decent job outside this state. I'd leave so fast there'd be a gigantic sucking wound in my wake. I can't wait until I can retire from my current job and go work somewhere else.
