About my HK P2000 in 357 Sig---I understand that converting to .40 S&W is a matter of dropping in a factory .40 S&W barrel. I'm confused about whether or not I can convert to 9mm L simply by installing a P2000 9mm barrel.

Will the 357 Sig slide with its different breach face(and perhaps different extractor and ejector)allow this drop-in with the 9mm barrel to function?

Thank you,
Williejc

357 sig and 40 smith and wesson have the same rim. the sig round is basically a necked down 40sw.
switching to 9 would generally require a different extractor.

You can look for an after market 9mm barrel. You cannot use a factory 9mm barrel to convert a .357 Sig to a 9mm.

I think if you wanted to do it right (read least reliability issues) you'd want an extra slide, recoil spring and barrel. Probably mags too.
