Hey, please be gentle, i have tried google and searching this site but my jedi skills must be failing me so i was hoping someone here could help me, how do i replace my extractor spring and insert? I looked on the Brownells site and their schematic of the extractor seems to show it being held there by will power alone. Really don't want to faff anything up so any help on what i imagine is a pretty routine thing for most people here would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for the quick response but i meant the insert, spring and o ring on the extractor itself, sorry for the confusion! I am trying to install the BCM Extractor Spring Upgrade kit.

Thanks again

Here ya go ...

1) Punch out the pin

2) Remove Extractor and related parts

3) Refer to picture on how the o-ring, spring, and plunger should fit

If you take a close look at the spring you will see that one end is larger then the other. That end is the one that goes into the hole in the extractor. When you push it in it will lock into place. Use the edge of your fingernail to push in.

I had to use pliers to hold the extractor down and replace the pin after I upgraded mine; used a rag the protect the finish.
