I just wish the (S) model with the safety would have been made like the USP V1's where it's also the Decocker, instead of leaving it on the rear of the slide.

Give it time, rumor has it, the "S" models are said to be replacing the current P30. However, the decocker will remain adjacent to the hammer. Again, this is just Internet talk.

Done.
Did they ever come out with a shorter slide release/lock for the P30L?

I notice there isn't a place to vote for "lower price"

Or a place to vote for greater availability of magazines.

And, if the price was lower would it be an H&K?

Is that a trick question?

How about a P30 with a threaded barrel instead of the DOA nonsense.

I fully agree - I'd buy one without hesitation.

I see P30LS LEM V1s have been trickling out. The LEM with a thumb safety seems a little strange to me though.

I'd be more interested in a P30L LEM without a thumb safety. Anyone know if HK is planning to release some in this configuration?

I was under the impression that you could remove the thumb safety? I would be interested in knowing if you can get it without as well.

I am glad that H&K listens.

Ah, I thought that you could get it without the safety and here is one that I had book-marked:

Edited to add that I do not see the long-slide on Top Gun's page without the safety... hmmmm

Dear H&K,

Please consider adding the feature of a trigger that isn't total dogs**t, or that requires having to give Bruce Grey $400 just to get a trigger that's not even half as good as a Glock's with a $10 connector swap.

Thank you.

Agree. This is my only real beef with the plastic H&K pistols. The triggers, even the "match" triggers, are terrible.

The single action on the HK45 is very good, as was the trigger on the P7. Zee Germans can make a nice trigger for their pistols, it just never seems to be an emphasis item. Hopefully that changes in the future.

The trigger on my P7M8 is probably one of the nicest I've ever used. Too bad the P30 is not a P7. I feel like HK believes they should have a "combat trigger," not realizing "combat trigger" and "sucks balls" don't have to be the same thing. I've never liked the LEM all that much and the "match" trigger on my 45 Tactical was marginal. I understand it is not going to be a 1911, but there's no reason it couldn't be better.

I'd be more interested in a P30 with a threaded barrel and the decocker like the USP than a LEM. But this thread isn't about that.

I'm not a real big fan of the DAO in semi automatic handguns. The LEM is a cool idea but it doesn't really do anything for me. People complain about the trigger on the P30, after about 1k rounds mine cleaned up nicely. It's got creep but it's very smooth now.

I would, however, bust a nut if they could give it a shorter crisper pull/reset. I will admit that the trigger is the downside to the P30.

If anyone thinks their P30 or HK45 has a good trigger then it sounds like they have no idea what a good trigger actually is or have spent too long away from one...

The P7's have awesome triggers and IMHO were the last H&K pistols that were truly exceptional. In fact, their only real drawbacks were weight and maybe a long-ish trigger-reset (that still is as short or shorter than either the USP's, P30's, and HK45's), in a more perfect world H&K would release a newly designed P7 variant with a mostly polymer lower and shortened trigger-reset... Guess no one would want a pistol that'd be more reliable than a Glock with a trigger as nice as a sweet 1911 would they...

I don't really see what that has to do with availability of the P30L.

As for the vaunted P7, I had two M8's which locked up using Geco ammo. They had to be sent back to HK because no one knew how to fix them and even if they did there was no parts available. So I am not nearly as enamored with the P7 as many seem to be.
