First off I do not own any of this stuff yet but am considering taking a class this year from EAG if I can make it in(there are 2 classes being offered in locations I might be able to get to).

I generally carry my handgun in a Raven Concealment holster on a leather 1.5" belt. To more closesly match my standard belt carry method for a hand gun I would like to have my rifle mags be added to a standard belt instead of a molle belt. I was thinking of purchasing a Wilderness style belt for this in 1.5'' width(and it would be handy for added rigidness for IDPA as well). I would like to use rifle mag pouches like the Eagle FB or the HSGI taco. It is possible to mount mag pouches like this on a standard 1.5" belt?

Also I know that EAG requires 5 mags per rotation and I know that it would be uncomfortable to run alot of rifle mags on a belt. I would only be running 2 rifle mags and 1 pistol mag on the belt and be feeding them from something else.

Ty for your time.

You may want to try a war belt. They are designed to do just what you want.

This will fit over your existing belt.....

The "MALICE Clip Belt Stabilizer" from Down Range Gear might be the ticket.

There are Eagle FB mag pouches (among others) that are designed specifically for belt use - see the ammo pouch spreadsheet in my signature. Go to the filtered data and filter the "Belt Attach" column for "Yes".

As others have said you can alternatively run modular pouches on a war belt like the ATS war belt: http://www.atstacticalgear.com/cgi/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=ST-2603. But if you want to run 5+ rifle mags you'll probably need at least a small chest rig to feed the pouches on your belt.
