How does it compare to the surefire x200?
How does it compare to the surefire x200?
Very well I think. The biggest thing is that it doesn't have the diamond shaped prism that the X200A has. They are also, much cheaper.

Damn, that is a sweet deal. I wish I hadn't bought my Streamlight TLR-1 now!
Ohh well, I am going to add a light to my SA 1911 soon enough, this looks like the light I will be using on it!
Any idea of anyone making a holster to fit this thing on a 1911?
Yeah, but will this turn purple like my X200a?? :D

Huh, that is cheaper. Hows the construction? Is it billet aluminum or sheet metal?

No idea on the holsters, but am going to try it with a couple different ones.

I was recently told the SSL-1 fits in any M3 compatible holster.

Cool, thanx grant.
Damn, that's some shameless X200B copying right there!
How about remote switching options? I'm all about cheaper, but I like the DG switches on my Surefires.
Nah, they have a different switch ;)
The rail mount is a very close clone. Had they made it horseshoe shaped and in one piece they would have been in trouble.

Actualy, it is a copy of the SL TLR more than the X200 I think.
Switch options are in the works.

How much Grant? I have one that I got with a light and am thinking about selling it at a later date. Doesn't fit as flush because of the Dawson not being a real integral rail. It's also too sensitive for my tastes.
I shot fine in a league last night with the regular rocker, one handed!

Sorry, my fault. I guess I should have been more specific. I meant the remote switches.

Thanx grant. The XT07 remote tape switch is what im looking for. I didnt know they were that much though. Thanx again man.
How are these holding up?
Quick question:
Do the SSL-1 activation switches only work by rocking them side to side or do they also activate by pushing in / bumping?

I'd like to know how this light is holding up, myself.
I wanna try to mount one on my Springer Mil-Spec w/ a Dawson rail and adapter.
I'm betting it will work being the X200/300 and SSL-1 are so close alike. But yet such a huge price difference.
Then again....NIB X200's have been going on Ebay for about $120 or so....
