Just curious, how well will the Duracoat hold up to holster wear? I know you can just recoat it when it does.

Great shots, thanks for showing it off. :)

What exactly would the prosecutor say? "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, this young man clearly left his home with the intent to murder zombies this morning." Don't pour yellow liquid on the man's parade!

I'd love to see that happen here in Texas. The conversation would be something like this:

"Dang! Y'all come check out Ray's rifle! Ain't she purty?"

Followed shortly by a raffle to reimburse ammunition costs after the shooting.

It's serious BBQ gun material. ;)

Thanks Man.. I’m glad you like it.. The DuraCoat is a firearm finish and does hold up extreamly well.. it’s not a paint it’s more of an epoxy.. Well… There is the fact of life.. All (light colors) show dirt.. MAM……… Let me tell you.. my AR is filthy! When I get back from the range.. luckly the cleaning solvents don't hurt the finish.. Please note I did use the duracoat matt clear finish on it and Man.. I love it..

That muzzle brake is too awesome! The Glock and rifle are cool as well and they blend in surprisingly well.

That said, I would caution against using the Glock as a carry gun. It's like carrying a knife with skulls on it. It's cool but Sheeple can easily get the wrong impression. WE like it and can appreciate it, but the little old lady on the jury may not. I, and I'm sure I'm not alone, would hate to see someone get hung out to dry for an other wise stock pistol.

Pretty sweet!:dirol:

Wish I had the skills (not to mention the guts...) to paint a gun up like that.

That being said- from a purely artistic point of view (I see what you were doing making it a form of camo)- I think it would also be an interesting idea, maybe for a future project, to leave the gun black and do like a "skulls in moonlight" kind of theme. Like for the handgun, just with the skulls lining the edge of the slide, and the bottom of the grip, with whitish-blue highlighting to simulate moonlight....

Oh, and I LOVE the muzzle brake. Every .50 should have one of those on it.:D

I agree. More super work Linkpimp

Jellybean, is this kinda like what you're talking about? Scroll down a bit to the "reaper black"

https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=65799

I think this is the company from that thread
http://crc2.net/?attachment_id=982

but when I couldn't remember the what to search for initially I stumbled on this other company which seems to do the same pattern so not sure who came up with it first.
http://www.northwesthydroprint.com/Specialty-patterns.html

Of course those are hydrographics and I bet would be super hard to recreate with duracoat--especially for my non-artistic butt.

I'm starting to really hate photobucket. Half the pics never come up.
Looked on their site instead.
Just when I thought this thread couldn't get any better.... if I ever want any guns painted I'm sending them to CRC.
The skull designs on some of the later pages (or the Spike rail from thread link) are close. I wasn't thinking so much a ghosty design. Simpler- there's a 'pile of skulls' desktop from 300 that's close. Just not quite as bland- brighter/more contrast between the light and skulls. Basically, just take that line of skulls on the slide of the glock, insert black background, and sit them outside under a full moon.
I guess you could almost say more of a halloween theme....
