does anyone else have a lower that looks like this? i know it's just cosmetic but it bugs the crap out of me since i was going to use it for a SBR build and it is from a company that supposedly has rigid QC. (sorry for the bad cellphone pics)

not normal but not particularly unusual. unless it causes trouble, just roll wit it...

If they let that pass QC Id wonder what else they were letting get by.

I know that particular issue doesnt affect function but its still piss poor machine work.

other than the front of the magwell everything else is fine and will probably use it but for $200 i would have thought that it would have had a little bit better machining.

speaking from a factory worker standpoint: we get lazy. Or our bosses piss us off.

But i make MRAP's and ASV's. So my quality is a hell of a lot better than that.:D

the more i look at it the more i think about contacting the company and see what they say about it.
what's bad is that it's from a company that everyone on here and everywhere else i look raves about:confused:

I have a Bushmaster lower that is similar to that one. Who makes yours?

I wouldn't use it for a sbr...you will be stuck with it forever. But that's just me. What brand is it?

i'm not going to say who made it on a forum just because they slipped up and let a bad one get through. i just hate that i paid a premium price for a product that is obviously not a premium product:(
let's just say that i would have hated to buy one of the blems if this is the standard

sounds like Noveske to me. If you aren't happy, let them know.

talked to the company that made the receiver and they said that it was normal and that they didn't see what i was talking about:rolleyes:....oh well...i'll never pay that much for just a stripped lower again if the machining isn't any better than the rest

maybe i'm just too picky about my parts

LaRue billet lowers are only $250, and I bet the machine work will be as close to perfect as possible. ;)

i was thinking about using a larue stealth upper and lower and larue rail for my next rifle...or an all BCM rifle...depends on what this bonus looks like
