Help with mount choice

Hello all,

Forgive the newbie question, but I just bought a S&W M&P 15 with removable carry handle and an Aimpoint CompM3 to go with it. My question is in regards to the height of the mount- are you supposed to see completely above the front sight tip/post when looking through the optic? Or in line with it or doesn't it matter? Thanks.

Hey, first off welcome!
Next, there is a sticky on explaining Co-witness. That will answer your question better than I can.
As for you mount I would recommend the Larue cantilever mount.

Got it. Literally- I ordered the LT-129 yesterday. Should be here by the end of the week. Thanks for the advice.

That is a great mount. My M3 is in one.
