Looking for a three point sling with a quick disconnect setup. I know you can set up mostly any sling system with quick disconnects but If anyone knows of a 3point sling with a good quick disconnect setup option I'd be very grateful.

Thanks in advance

Why?

Three point slings or HK style slings are one of the best kept secrets in the shooting community. The only problems is that the secret happens to be that three point slings don't work well for tactical shooting.

Yes, go with Blue Force Gear Vickers Combat Application Sling. Blue Force Gear banner is at the top of every page on this site. It has the quick disconnect feature you're looking for.

The BFG VCG is a 3 point minus 1 point sling = Two point sling. It's the best 3 point sling without the difficulty of the third point, doesn't tangle or strangle you while putting it on, doesn't interfere with rifle controls on the left side of the gun and it has a quick adjustment for slack during weapon transition to the support side.

See video for demo.

If you want to feel like you and your gun are being raped by an octopus, I would use a 3 point.

If you don't want this, I would look for something else.

Lots of excellent responses.

Thanks!

I have tried two point slings but in a combat situation transition to pistol is smoother with a three point. Recovery after the transition to your primary weapon is also more easy. Had a one point sling for a while but didn't enjoy my muzzle digging into the dirt while kneeling. Your rifle is an extension of your body, being integrated with your weapon like a three point offers allows for more control....

There's a reason why you don't see 3 point slings as much these days in the market...as if you found what you were looking for, you wouldn't be asking us. I'm not trying to be a prick... just saying.

I agree with the assessment above about the Blueforce VCAS sling.

But if you're going to stick with a 3 point sling, I had an old one that had a quick release buckle...so those are the only type of sling setups I've seen that are "QD." I can't remember who made it though.

The VCAS looks like a quality product. Might as well give it a try.

The 3 point also fouls the controls on your gun and fouls your chest magazine pouches which are more of a primary concern than transition speed.

Just so that we're speaking the same terminology and definitions, when you refer to the "two point slings" above, were you talking about the "modern two point quick adjust slings"? or were you referring to the hunting style two point carry strap?

If you have your heart set on the 3 pt. here you go:

I'm going to go against the grain here, nothing new for me. I have a couple of Specter 3 points that I really like. They function very well as a two point, or very close to a single point, depending on how you have it adjusted. I have never had the sling that goes between the two points get in the ways of reloads, drills, anything. The big shortcoming of the three point is the transistion to your weak side is nearly impossible, for me anyway. I bought these back when three point slings were in vogue with all the HSLD guys, what was that five years ago? I missed the memo that they were uncool and I still enjoy using them on a couple of ARs along with MS2s on three others and a Vickers on one.

ETA: As 5 pins said, Specter makes one with a quick release buckle.

It's a quality product that is a well thought out decision, you won't regret it.
