If this has been posted before I appologize. I just think this is pretty good for all the anti-gun folks!

"If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq
Theater of operations during the past 22 months, and a total of 2112 deaths,
that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.
"The firearm death rate in Washington, DC is 80.6 per 100,000 for the same
period. That means you are about 25 percent more likely to be shot and
killed in the U.S. capital, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in
the U.S., than you are in Iraq."
Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington

That just proves gun control is a failure. Stricter gun control = more crime... very interesting.

The whole point of gun control is less security. The less secure the citizens feel, the more they will clamor for government control of their safety.

When you consider the percentage of casualties caused by IED's in Iraq versus firearms, the numbers are actually more slanted.

Yeah, not too likely to be killed by a suicide bomber in DC. Still an interesting thought though.:)

To kind of add on this point, that admin ass-hat that said that the Gitmo recidivism rate of 20% is less than the general prison population rate of like 60%. Of course a lot less than 20% of the GP goes into international terrorism.

Statistics FAIL.
