LANCASTER, Pa. -- Lancaster police have arrested a man who was shot by a store clerk in an attempted armed robbery Wednesday night.
The robber pointed a handgun at the employees and demanded money, police said.
Officers responded to a panic alarm at Mangat's Mini-Mart on East Liberty Street (see interactive map below) at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Lancaster police said.

About 30 minutes later, a 17-year-old male was admitted to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, police said.
He has been identified as Julian Skye Malave and will be arraigned on robbery charges when he is released from the hospital.
