With personal sample size of 1, they do excellent work. I am yet to read a negative report on ADCO.

Just throwing a bone(not that he needs one) to GotM4 here on this forum. Rob(b) literally did three barrels for me in the period of 1.5 weeks. I have an MGI Hydra upper (Quick change barrels) and he knocked our various pinning on different mounts and barrels. I am talking Larue LP GB on a White Oak 18" SS barrel, a VLTOR LP GB on a BCM SS middy and even a no-namer on an old Alexander Arms 16" 5.45 build. Rob does some great work here in VA!

Add my pinning job to the list. ADCO is GTG.

Does Adco publish a price list for barrel modifications? (ie fluting, dimpling, pinning, etc.)

Thanks. Anyone know the price for cutting a 16" barrel down to 14.5 with a pinned flash hider? How about dimpling an HBAR?

I'd be careful with the dimpling, KAC patent.

Does this mean nobody else can do it?

It's patented by KAC, unless KAC did it I wouldn't want to possess a barrel 'dimpled' in the KAC fashion......

ADCO offers it so who cares?

Sounds like unnecessary fear mongering to say it's a bad thing to even possess a barrel with dimples in it just because KAC has a patent on it.

Can you explain? Seems like a fairly basic operation.

I'm pretty sure nate bell has a noveske that's factory dimpled. May be wrong on the brand but it isn't kac. I'll ask him and let ya know.

getting back on track, anyone got a pic of a FSB they had ADCO shave down to fit under a rail? Im thinking about having them do that for me, $5 cheaper on the service and saves the cost of a new gas block....

Amazing that one can patent a golf ball pattern to a rifle barrel.

What exactly is the "KAC fashion"? I don't see why possessing a barrel dimpled by someone other than KAC should be an issue. If KAC has a problem with it, that would be between them and the company that dimpled the barrel, not the owner of the barrel.

I know I've already posted above, but I have just came back from zeroing my ADCO-pinned BCM and I thought I should add a few words.

One thing that's not mentioned is the fact that ADCO also crowns/threads bbl, when they do length reduction/pinning job, and crowning and threading are excellent. Before I had my 16 inch BCM cut, I shot it for accuracy - 10 rounds, and saved remainder 10 from that box. When cutdown bbl came back, I shot those remaining 10 rounds and the accuracy started to approach my SS Noveske. Not quite, but close. It could be that bbl became more rigid, but I think it had something to do with crowning.

I recalled it today when I was zeroing Aimpoint on that upper. I didn't take pictures, so you just have to imagine 4 rounds touching each other just left of 10-ring. After adjustment for windage, fifth round drilled 10 ring. Chrome-lined bbl, 2MOA optic, commercial training ammo (55 gr PMC), PMAG as monopod, no rear bags - sub-MOA group. The only "precision" component was Geiselle trigger and, I firmly believe, ADCO crown.

Adco did great work on my LMT. Good communications keeping me appraised of the status of the work too.
