So like the title says, will there be any changes for the Glock 27 for the Gen 4? If anyone has info on this please share. I'm looking to buy an off duty/back up gun. I already have a Glock 22, Gen 3, updated with 11 coil springs for the attached TLR-1.
I started having issues when the light was mounted with FTF. I changed to the 11coil springs and I haven't had any issues since.

Glock wasn't really giving out much details at SHOT about what else will come in Gen 4. They did indicate that the next series would be the 19 and 23 (probably the 32 as well).

What I want is a Glock 35 Gen 4. These are very back burner at this time they said. Sucks as it would make a good cheap USPSA/IPSC Limited gun as well as a good HD gun with a light mounted.

On another note, I will need a holster as well. Looking for an IWB holster. Anyone with experience with this holster? http://shop.alessigunholsters.com/Items/talon%20glock?&caSKU=talon%20glock&caTitle=Alessi%20Holsters%20Talon%20Holster%20for%20Glock%20Guns

Looks like it would be small, and comfortable with the leather.

Well as there is a 4 to 6 week wait on the holster, I placed the order today. Except I did the talon plus version. Damn these things are expensive!

I was told by a regional Glock LE rep in November that changes to the 26/27/33 would be "minimal with not much changing" in Gen4. That was all he said about it.

If it ain't broke......

I've yet to hear any problems with the current G27's. In 5 years and thousand of rounds, my G27 has proven to be more reliable than my trusty old G17.

My 23 and 22....that's anther story. I tell people the only reason I carry a G22 on duty is because I carry a G27 as a back up. The 27 is go to go in my book.

This is what I got from my regional rep today:

Mike,

The G27 already has the dual stage recoil spring assembly in it. No plans for any changes right now, but you could see the lower frame receive the larger mag catch and the RTF finish on the frame by the end of the year. Wait until May and get the new G23 Gen4. It will be all new and have all of the changes. This would be a great choice for concealed carry or duty carry.

I placed an order for a Glock 27 in OD. Figured I would change it up a little with the OD. Apparently they only do two runs of the OD's a year

Good news! May is right around the corner and I am dying to get my hands on a Gen4 Glock 19! (assuming the 19 comes out around the same time)

Thanks for the info

I'm told I could be waiting until around July to get my 27! Boo

So buy one now, the new grip frame texture ain't all that, and the need for a reversible mag catch is debatable.

Glock had every thing perfect until they screwed it up.

I didn't order a gen 4 glock 27. They said it was going to take that long because I ordered an OD glock 27.
