I am lusting for another pistol. Caliber is immaterial. These are the few in consideration, help me decide. Confessional: I like Glockabooms, but don't want/need another one.

CZ 75b
XDM 9
Ruger MKII

You can choose one of the 3 listed above, or recommend one for me.

Thanks

I predict that this thread will be moved.....

What is the purpose of the pistol?

Is the CZ a full size gun? I'm with SG... what is the purpose? These are a couple very different guns...

If I were getting one now (first handgun) it would be the CZ out of your choices. I didn't like the grip on the XDM. The CZs just ooze quality and comfort.

I'd go with the CZ I've got a 75b stainless and a PCR. Also if you want a 22lr pistol you can buy the Kadet conversion kit for the CZ 75 based pistols. It has been my experience that the conversion kit works best with the steel framed CZ75 derivatives.

I'd go with a P-35 or 1911

Not on the list but a browning hi power in 9mm would be my pick.

Since you threw a .22lr in there I assume this is for target shooting. I'd say the best of the three would be the Ruger MKII. The CZ has mixed reviews from people who have put a decent amount of ammo downrange. Me for example. They tend to break parts and have unrefined triggers. I can't comment on the XD, but reviews on those are mixed as well.

I recommend that you look into the S&W M&P, H&K USP/P30/P2000, or from Sig Sauer(not the P250). Those three(other than Glock) are going to give you the least trouble and perform the best overall.

Is cost an issue?

I realize it isn't on your list, however I used my Sherlock holmes like powers of deduction to determine from your three sentences, suggestions listed, and your home state to infer this.

I called Madame Clio and strangely enough she also recomended a Hi-power.

have fun with whatever you pick. ;p

If cost wasn't an issue, I'd go with an HK.

USPc 9mm
HK 45
P30
And then of course the new P30 .40 is finally here!

May I suggest a new list;

HK
Glock
M&P
Sig

and I also liked the Hi-Power suggestion.

From your list, I liked the Ruger .22 best. I kinda of like the CZ75's, I've had a couple, but it really doesn't do anything for me that other choices don't do better.

My vote is for an M&P or a Ruger Mark III 22/45 RP: http://www.ruger.com/products/2245ReplaceablePanels/models.html

Since this is obviously an adventure why not sit down or on the phone with a Master Smith & design a custom steel gun that is designed to YOUR specifications on a P-35 or 1911:D
