America's Army 3

Anyone play this? I spent 2 hours trying to install and run it, and had issues every step of the way. Thoughts?

I used to play AA years ago I have not messed with the new version.
But the old one you had to install all of the updates before you could play.

Used to play a lot but not it a long time. Thomas M-4 is right though. On the older versions you had to make sure you were patched all the way to current. If you weren't, the game (menus, etc.) would load but you won't be able to find any servers to play on.

I play AA2 right now, I did install 3 using the bigdownload app. on the AA websight but my computer won't run it.

The U.S. Military canned the developers of AA1 and AA2 and handed their incomplete code to a new developer who was willing to work for much cheaper for AA3. The fact that it's a bug-ridden mess should come as a surprise to no one.

World of Warcraft is this way as is a lot of "free" games. It seems to be that they would sell a CD with the lastest collection of patches just to make it easy. I always say if my external hard drive fails at the same time my C drive does, I wont be gaming any more.
