Norgon Ambi-Catch
Get quicker, easier reloads for right- or left-hand shooters. Lets you activate the magazine release with the thumb of the non-firing hand while keeping the rifle on target. Distinctive design is the same size and configuration as factory part; won't snag on clothes or branches, resists accidental release and does not interfere with rifle function. Drop-in installation.
The AMBI-CATCH ambidextrous magazine release mechanism installed in a M16/AR-15 (series) firearm is evaluated to be both operationally effective and operationally suitable. The AMBI-CATCH equipped firearms reliably functioned with a wide variety of magazines and magazine capacities which are available to the government, law enforcement, and private sectors. The addition of the AMBI-CATCH to the test firearms extended both the accessibility and relative ease of magazine release to operators using both left-side and right-side firing positions. The installed AMBI-CATCH is unobtrusive and did not limit the utility or function of the firearm or its components and accessories in any observable manner during the live-fire test sessions."
The Ambi-Catch worked without failure with the following mags: Colt 9mm 20 & 32-rnd sticks, NORINCO 120-rnd drum, Beta C-Mag 100-rnd drum, USA 40-rnd box, Orlite 30-rnd box, Zytel 30-rnd box, Colt 30 & 20-rnd box, and the Colt 10-rnd .22lr subcalibre box mags.
They are of an ingenious design and of superb quality. I personally like them because they allow me to do a 1-hand reload from the left (ala UZI), without relocating my right trigger finger (and hand) to depress the mag release button on the right.
IMHO, it is money well spent, which increases the functionality of your ar-15
Here is the current pricing samples with shipping $20 plus more than what you will be paying .
