I am looking for a very accurate bolt action rifle in .308 with the capacity of 20 rd mags. Maybe a LE/Mil sniper type rifle. I would like to keep it under $3k. Who has experience with good ones?

i don't know of a single rifle with a 20 round mag. a 20 rounder would impede prone shooting

That is what I get for not checking my post. I meant 10 rounds mag.

Badger M5 is one option, 5 or 10rd AICS mags. The M5 can be fitted to just about any of the popular tactical stocks for the 700, extra mags are expensive . GA Precision is a very reputable builder, I have an M40A1 they did and it is outstanding in every way.

I'd look around for a used GAPrecision Crusader (they are out there). That's what I did, and couldn't be happier. Picked mine up a couple of years ago for about $2,700 without optics. 10 rounds max for the AICS mags though. As posted above, I've never heard of 20 rnd bolt gun mags.

I have seen a few different custom Rem. 700 based rifles that were built to take M14 mags, I think Robar may have been one builder doing them. If you really need 20 in the rifle you might as well have a semi auto to go along with it in my opinion.
