In the last 20yrs in my own rifles (10.3" to 24" ARs) I've bought or been given (not issued) and tried/tested David Tubb, ISMI, TacticalSprings.com, Wolff +10% and stock buffer springs. In carbine stocked ARs I've bought or been given (not issued) and tried/tested H, H2, H3, Enidine (new and old), & MGI, and 9mm buffers. I've also used bought and tried/tested various carriers.

Sometimes you'll find a combo that you like, sometimes the difference isn't noticeable.
Sometimes a particular combo will work very well for a very skilled seasoned shooter and not very good for a less skilled new shooter.
Some are competition only some are not.
You really have to test for yourself as everyone shoots differently and no one can tell you what will work best for you.
I know what works for me which allows me to get consistent .13sec 2 shot splits (with both in the A zone) on a IPSC target at 25yds with my 3gun rifle.
