Decided to fill in a gap in my longarm menu.

I got tool's for distance and for up close and personal use but somethings been bugging me the past few weeks .

I didnt have a .22

I figure if something happened (you know poo hitting the fan) I could use one for different applications & such. So I payed gotm4 a visit after work because I was looking for a bipod for the 5R but as soon as I walked in the door I immediatly was drawn to the rifle rack (like a damn moth to the flames) but all in all I like it and the 10/22 looks like a well built little rifle/carbine.

And I know I can make it EBR complaint over time.

I was looking at the Outback 2, AAC Aviator & YHM Wraith Q/D . Any body had experience with any of them?

Felt funny taking a emery cloth to a new barrel but it worked.

Done for now at least.

Mine sports a VQ drop in trigger group, Houge overmold stock, Tac Sol OD green threaded barrel, and a Tac 65 can which works great. Topped it off with a 10x Super Sniper in Badger Ordinance mounts. Kinda overkill but I enjoy shooting it.

Colt6920 I decided and went with the Tactical sol black threaded barrel as well as ordering a Hogue OM green stock and weapon craft buffer.

Now all I need is a scope.

I am brand new to .22 also and have a Ruger MKII being built at Clark Custom Guns (http://www.clarkcustomguns.com/rug22pcn.htm) and a CZ 452 American .22LR. I decided on a Leupold 3-9x33 VX-II Rimfire E.F.R. Riflescope (http://www.swfa.com/c-100-leupold-rimfire-airgun-scopes.aspx). It's a VX-II with better glass and has AO. Does not have target style knobs but it does have click adjustments. Used Burris Signature Series mounts / rings and it dialed in at 50 yards just fine.

SWFA wants $349.95 before shipping. I found this rimfirecentral thread (http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=172231&page=2) and got the VX-II E.F.R from Ron for $307.53 shipped to NV. Here is a pic of one (eta: not mine): 3-9X33 E.F.R. pic (http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=174553)

Clark Custom has a great 10/22 menu also - check it out.

"Run Away!" to quote Brave Sir Robin.

10/22's are even worse than AR's for adding accesories that are worth more than the rifle is.

They are great fun guns, first long gun I purchased oh many years ago. You will enjoy it, just do not start to mod it.:p

My 10/22 kind of looks like I drug it down the tacky aisle with the crap magnet turned on. Folder, bipod, tac-sling, flash supressor, etc. But from the time I got it until the time I could drive (and my interests changed ;)), my freetime always consisted of dragging that little gun all over the countryside. I shot the heck out of it and it still runs like a champ. I really need to get it out and shoot it, it's been a while...

Everyone needs a 10/22, good cheap fun. I'd like to build another more on the lighter side,
something to carry around while hiking. That Hogue tan stock would make a nice start.

So far I haven't felt the need to replace the trigger, and other internals. I've been happy with just the Green Mountain 20" bull barrel and
Bell & Carlson stock. BSA scope, Power Custom base, I think they're Burris rings, can't remember.

Nice rifle Wes simple yet effective.

What power optics do have on it.

I found that out real quick my head is still spinning. All I need is a decent (on a budget)scope for it.

Im looking at the Simmons 3-9x32 A/O (part#511072) and rings from SWFA for $59.95.

But if theres any other scope out there you guys recommend I look at let me know (remember budget).

How are the muellers by the way?

It's an 8-32x50. :D

If you SBR'd that thing your scope would go out past the end of the barrel :D

Wel the black barrel has been replaced by a green tactical solution barrel and I broke down and ordered a Mueller 4.5–14×40 AO Mueller APV to top it off.

Next comes a suppressor(muwhahahaha)

I learned to shoot on a 10/22 in 1977 that my dad bought from Sears for $55.00.

Great little carbines.

Nice looking 10/22!

With ammo prices on the rise, and a new shooter in the fold, I'm finding myself going back to rimfires. In the last month, I picked up a 10/22 and a Smith&Wesson 22A to add to my Outback II equipped Walther P22.

I've got an Ramline poly side folder on the 10/22 now. However, I see myself getting a second (in stainless, although I've owned several 10/22's over the years!) and the stainless will get a Butler creek stainless side folder, and the blue will get the Tac Sol threaded barrel and Houge stock.
