CNN Chicago Gun Ban poll

Quick vote
Should the Supreme Court uphold Chicago's 1982 handgun ban?
Yes 53% 3463
No 47% 3040
Total votes: 6503

Hardly any surprise here. Most of their readers are probably antis anyway.

The original poll was at http://www.cnn.com/, but it's now at http://www.cnn.com/JUSTICE/

Edited to update link to poll with explanation

This is not a scientific poll

Not scientific? Then it is just a poll of liberal leaning cnn.com readers and not a representative sample of anything more. Unfortunately it is representative of too many big city dwellers.

It's 53-47 now. Once the pro-gun machine gets wind of the poll, it will shoot over the other way unless CNN yanks it first.

I just voted, still 53-47.

Hanging in there at 51 to 49. Bet this will move into the pro-gun camp by the time the day is over.

Warning - thread drift - I watched Jack Cafferty's CNN special on broken government the other night and was suprised at how harsh (for CNN) his criticisms of BHO, NP and HR were. The guy is very refreshing.

I have also noticed more citicism from other CNN reporters as well.

That's odd! I just voted. But the numbers are the same that you posted.

Still, for CNN, these numbers are looking good.

I just looked at it and saw a poll about kids in bars and no Chicago poll.

Yes, they took it down. It looks like they had a pretty even 50-50 split on the issue.

It's moved, here's the new link. Scroll down. Remember - a "no" vote is a pro-gun vote...

On the Communist News Network, and our numbers are that high? SWEET!

No seriously, on a poll worded that way, on that (CNN) website, it is akin to asking should ANWR be opened up for oil drilling on the Greenpeace website and getting 49% "yes". That is BIG.

Of course I added one to our numbers.

The wife just voted also. It looks like we need to visit these liberal polls more often to throw them out of kilter. I promise to do that, and I hope you guys will also and keep us posted. Thanks for the heads up on this one.

Yes, they finally deleted it. Some politicians follow theses unscientific polls. It is good that they were able to see that CNN viewers were able to express their pro-2A stance. ;)
