Firearms Research & Instruction will offer a LEVEL-III HANDGUN COURSE October 5-7, 2007 at the Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club (http://www.rrpc.org) near Charlottesville, VA.
For more than a decade, FR&I (http://www.f-r-i.com) has been providing top-quality firearms training to law enforcement, security professionals and armed citizens across the country. The Level III Handgun is an intensive 30-hour course that allows the student to further develop the skills acquired in the Level II course. There is less 'traditional' shooting and more emphasis is placed on advanced techniques. Additionally, the student has the opportunity to test his/her abilities against live opponents during the 'force on force' segments of the class.
NOTE: Students enrolling in the Level III must have completed the FR&I (http://www.f-r-i.com) Level II course or have prior approval from Steve of FR&I (steve@f-r-i.com).
TOPICS COVERED IN THIS COURSE INCLUDE:
• Mental Conditioning and Conflict Avoidance
• Malfunction Clearance Drills
• Room/House Clearing
• Tactical Movement and Shooting on the Move
• Multiple Assailants
• Non-Sighted Shooting Techniques
• Night Shooting with and without Flashlights
• Disarming and Weapon Retention
• Force-on-Force Training
Tuition for the course is $440. Each student is responsible for providing his/her own equipment and ammunition (800-1000 rounds). A deposit of $200 is due at time of registration; we accept Visa/Mastercard, certified funds and personal checks.
