N4 Light Recce Low-Profile 16"

16.1" Cold Hammer Forged Barrel, 1 in 7" twist, 5.56mm
--Made of Mil Spec M249 Machine Gun barrel steel, with heavy M249 Chrome Lining,
(appx. 2 times as thick as an M4 or M16)
--Extended Feed Ramps
--Mil Spec Phosphate finish
--MP HP tested with certification
--Mid-Length gas system, no M203 notch
--Shot peened and MP tested bolt
--Properly staked carrier key
--Auto carrier
--Mil-Spec receiver extension, staked

I wish the trigger was lighter, smoother, but after about 3k rounds, its awesomely flawless :D

Thanks to all for sharing in my excitement! Hope to get to the range soon.

To answer a few questions, I am considering saving for an ACOG, otherwise a T1 like was mentioned. I intend to put a UBR stock on it, possibly a sling, some rail covers, and who knows what else.

I purchased it from Rainier Arms. They charged me about $40 less than Noveske, and only $7.95 for shipping. I ordered it online around 1am, and they shipped it by lunch time.

To the person who asked about the rail, it is made by SWS for Noveske, and came installed.

Can't wait to put a few hundred rounds through her!

Obviously, your mission might dictate an ACOG, but don't forget to consider other options, too.

I really wanted the ability to reach out and touch someone, but, in reality, I'll probably be shooting past 100 yards only rarely. so I got myself an Aimpoint ML3. But I also got the Aimpoint 3x magnifier on a LaRue pivot mount. It'll never be as good as a dedicated 3x scope, I'm sure, but for the price of an ACOG, you could get a red-dot and a magnifier which can pivot out of the way or, using the quick-release, pop off the gun entirely. Good gear, and with LaRue: good mounts.

It's the regular SWS railed handguard that Noveske puts on all their low profile uppers.

Good choice on your AR. I'm sure you'll be glad you went this route and not suffer from any buyer's remorse. :D Those VLTOR uppers are sweet stuff. Ever noticed how slick the bolt catch release is on them? Smooth and slick!

Does Noveske double box these? Did your blem lower come in the same box or a different one?

The rilfe was in a Noveske Box with egg crate foam, then put inside a shipping box. The lower was wrapped, and in the with rifle. I ordered from Rainier, don't know if that makes a difference. Congrats on your excellent purchase! :D

Just curious if you're asking if Noveske has a "gas piston system" as the HK.MR556--then no. Noveske does have a switchblock if one prefers.

Fit & Finish are superb on this rifle. Noveske really does make a top notch product.

I've owned or still own just about all of the major AR manufactures 20" or M4 clones. I've always been and probably will always be a HUGE Colt fan, but this rifle is incredible. I guess it should be for twice the price of your average AR. I look forward to a day at the range and testing out this SSA trigger as well.
