View Full Version : CMMG "MedCon" rifles....how heavy are they?

I'm interested in getting a CMMG middy and want something fairly lightweight. How heavy is the MedCon series? I'm leaning towards the lightweight 14.5" middy but like the stainless barrel if it's not too heavy.

The MedCon's are not light.

I have a 14.5 middy MedCon (with a VLTOR MUR which adds some weight) and it aint light. An INCREDIBLE rifle...but light it isn't.

Thanks for the info. I found a photo of the barrel and it seems to be similar to the HBAR barrel in my 6721. I think I'll opt for the normal government profile barrel or wait for the lightweight.
