Hi everyone. Well its time for another M4C giveaway. I'm going to bore you with some background first and then we'll get to the fun stuff. I'm a fairly recent member of this site only joining in May of last year. It may sound kind of strange but in that short period of time this site has meant a great deal to me. The last year has been one of the most trying in my life up to this point. It's been a struggle emotionally, physically, financially, mentally--really any "ly" word you can think of. While it seems odd that a website, specifically a firearms related site, could help with that, its done just that. I'm a newer shooter, only really getting into guns in early 2008. Since that time though I've really immersed myself in the subject/hobby; trying to learn all I can and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. This site has provided me with tons of valuable information (without a lot of BS ), from people who are far, far more knowledgeable on the subject matter than I. In addition to guns, this site is a great resource for info on knives, gear, fitness, training, politics, and humor. Its more than just the information though; I've seen some amazing things. There have been threads where complete strangers have helped out other members with housing issues, health problems, or helping someone have a good Christmas for their family/kids. I've read about a member, who's name I won't mention because I didn't check with him first; but who's story of personal sacrifice for our freedoms and whose attitude and determination has truly inspired me and driven me to change my attitude and continually challenge myself. What I'm trying to say (probably poorly and with a lot of air at this point ) is THANK YOU M4C.
And having said that, on to the fun. This is going to be like some of the M4C giveaways you've seen in the past only with a small twist. There will actually be 2 giveaway threads but I'll focus on this one first. Think everyone knows how to play. You post and pick a number. If more than one person picks the same number it goes to whoever chose first. We'll pick between 1-400. The deadline is 9:00pm (EST) Tuesday. At that time I'll draw the winners out of a hat. This game is open to every member of M4C. I say that because there will be a second thread which will be open ONLY to current/former military and leo's (Military and LEO members can pick a number in the everyone thread as well). That thread can be found here (http://m4carbine.net/showthread.php?p=591452#post591452). I'm doing it this way so that I can guarantee that at least one prize will go to someone who serves to safeguard our freedoms.
The prizes are :
Spyderco Delica folder (plain edge)
$25 gift certificate to G&R tactical (The only prize I haven't ordered yet. I'm not sure if these are physical cards or just online coupon codes. I'll work out the details with Grant to make sure the winner gets their prize)
1 Magpul AFG (black)
1 30 rnd FDE PMag
The first winner drawn from this everyone thread will get first pick
The winner drawn from the Mil/LEO thread gets second pick
The next 2 numbers drawn from this everyone thread will get the last 2 picks
As a side note: If you win and choose or end up with the magazine or knife and are unable to claim them because of the state you live in please let me know and we'll working something out. I'm not looking to break any laws here guys.
