My new Noveske Recon came in. Out of the box, this looks like one sweet gun. I had Noveske install the Geissele two stage trigger in it at the factory. The trigger is awesome. I had some add on's waiting for it when it got here. I am buying several types of ammo for it and can't wait to get some time to shoot it.

Nice bang stick. What glass are you running? 20 round Pmags will help you out as well. When I zero my rifles using the 20 rounders and it makes life much easier.

I just got the exact rifle minus the trigger upgrade. I shot it this weekend for the first time and it shoots great, awesome groups and totally reliable. was only able to put 200 rounds through it and it performed perfectly. I am waiting on my extras as well, only have the BAD, and Tango Down Vertical foregrip installed so far. Have a good time shooting

What ammo did you shoot and how were the groups?

I was shooting left over Black hills red box 69 grain match. They were shooting about 1 moa @100 yards off the bench. I think I will go with the heavier black hills, 75 gr. or even 77gr considering the twist rate of the recon. This weekend I plan on doing some more shooting with these rounds and I will let you know how they work.

From what I have learned from Joel at Noveske, said the 75 hornady and the 77 Blackhills shot the best groups (77 BH did the best). I found some blue box 77's but no red box 77's.

Thats good, I will try the hornady as well. Did he say anything about if they were the TAP rounds? It's a beautiful rifle isn't it?

Nice weapon and setup. Now if only a horde of zombies would show up, you could really try it out. :)

Twenty round (and ten round) mags give you more clearance. For me, thirty round mags usually interfere with my bipod when I go prone or shoot off a bench. I've sometimes have had to use the mags as a modified mono-pod before because the ground I was on made it the lowest point on my rifle even with bipod legs all the way out. :D

Nice Rifle!! I have a noveske Recce build and its my favorite. The Dillo dust rules, I have my wife loving it and convinced the only way to get more is by ordering more gear form the nice folks at Larue.

Look at the second pic - the rifle is resting on the bipod and magazine. The shorter 20 round magazine gives more clearance under the magazine, and if needed, the rifle can sit on the flat bottom of the 20 rounder, where a 30 round magazine would be in the way.

and, for me, I can leave 20 round pmag in and the door to my gun cabinet will still close, where it won't with a 30 rounder.

Is this just your attempt to be funny or do you seriously think it's called "dildo dust"? Either way, major fail.

No, he didn't. I have some tap also to shoot. Now, all I need is some free time.

6 to 9 I think. It is the shortest of my bipods. I took this one off my 40X.

Thanks for the info. I'm in the process of picking a bipod for my Recon so this helps.
