Not to be a MD fan-boy/koolaid sipper but does anyone know what finish this is?

I had a friend say it was duracoat but that honestly doesn't look like any duracoat I've seen. What do you guys think?

I took a look at them and it seems the cost wouldn't be justifiable for me even though the service they provide seems be to top notch.
Does anyone have any experience with them?
I'd consider having it done if I had a $2000 custom 1911 that I worried about gettin scratched :p
