Larry Vickers is a retired career special operations soldier with 20-plus years of service to our country. A longtime 1st SFOD- Delta operational member, he was a key player in the small arms marksmanship expertise and weapons selection of that Unit. He brings a very unique set of skills to the market, and has a wide and varied background in the firearms industry.

Select Special Operations , Military, and Law Enforcement Units seek him out on a regular basis for expert combat marksmanship training. Considered one of the best combat marksmanship instructors in the U.S, he has become one of the most sought after instructors in the Worldwide Special Operations community.

Vickers Tactical Advanced 3-Day Combat Handgun Class – Oct 22-24, 2010 – Moyock, NC.

The Vickers Tactical Combat Handgun Class focuses on all aspects of combat handgun shooting. Whether it be the Mil shooter deployed overseas, the LEO on duty, civilian concealed carry situations, or home defense. Topics covered will be review of safety, stance, sight alignment, reloads, presentation, shooting positions, and trigger control. More advanced topics will include shooting on the move, barricade, cover and concealment, weak side shooting, low light/night fire, etc. Any Shooter will leave the course with a firm grasp of what it takes to shoot a handgun whether it be your primary or secondary weapon during any situation.

Weapon & Gear Class Requirements:

Handgun:
- Serviceable duty grade handgun of at least 9mm Para caliber
- Minimum of 5 serviceable pistol magazines
- Serviceable holster
- Minimum 2 pistol magazine pouches
- Handgun mounted white light (Optional)
- Visible lasers (Optional)

MISC:
- Hand held white light
- Eye and ear protection (electronic hearing protection is preferred)
- Suitable range wear depending on the season
- Weapon cleaning & lubrication supplies
- Good attitude

Zeroed Weapons: Know your handguns zero at various ranges.

Ammo Requirements:
- 1200 rounds of handgun

Great facility with excellent support such as sight installation during
the class it always goes well

And last but not least this is the last one for 2010 - If you are
sitting on the fence I would recommend you commit and take
advantage of this training oppurtunity

Ordinarily...but they are booked solid as of Friday when I called. That leaves staying at either a little B&B in Moyock (never been there) or at a hotel in either Chesapeake or Elizabeth City. Chesapeake is a bigger place with a lot of options for food. There are some phenomenal restaurants in the Va. Beach/Norfolk/Chesapeake area.

I ended up getting a room at the Holiday Inn express in Elizabeth City NC.

FYI: This class starts tomorrow morning at 08:30 in class room 151-A. Everyone has been sent this info via email.

I have double verified everyone is on the site access list. Just have your ID ready when you pull up to the guard shack. They will give you an access pass and directions to the class rooms.
