View Full Version : Missed the G&R LPK boat
I am planning on building my first AR (I will be building the lower and buying the complete upper) and was planning on using the highly recommended G&R tactical LPK. Well because I am planning on starting probably either the beginning of April or late March I did not buy one of G&R's LPKs and now they are out of stock . My plan is/was to use that LPK with a stripped Stag lower from my local gun shop who has them for $99.99 then top it off with a mid-length upper from BCM. Since G&R is out of their LPK's what is a good quality LPK to use? Armalite? Stag/CMT? RRA? Or does it not matter since those are about on the same quality level?
Recommend you just keep checking Grant's site. That's what I did and bought four over the course of a couple months as he rebuilt the stock. Otherwise, you might try piecing together a kit from Brownells using quality parts.

AIM has a Daniel Defense LPK for $80, then a stainless steel LPK for $58
We will have ours back in stock in about 1-2 weeks.

Great! I won't wait next time!
Good news, I definitely want one when they are available.
What trigger does G&R use for their kits?

I've been wondering about this too, as I am IMMENSELY happy with the one that came with my G&R kit.
For a mil-spec trigger, I think it's fantastic.
I've been meaning to ask if he sells that trigger separately.

Ah, trade secrets for the win :D
Guess I'm stuck buying G&R LPKs for life... :p

Anything those jokers reject would probably be in spec.... and thus... not compatible with their guns.
Seriously though... can you imagine how bad something would have to be for those imbeciles to reject it?

I agree, it's easily the best trigger I have in house.
